Before you start

Three things you need

Meet these requirements and you're ready to go.

Carrier-unlocked device

Your phone must be unlocked to use eSIMs from third-party providers. Devices bought directly from Apple, Google, or Samsung are usually unlocked.

iOS 12.1+ or Android 9+

Most smartphones purchased after 2019 already meet this requirement. Check Settings → General → About (iOS) or Settings → About Phone (Android).

Wi-Fi during installation

You only need a Wi-Fi connection once to download the eSIM profile. After installation, no Wi-Fi is needed — your eSIM works on its own.
